Visa Yrjölä received his Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting from the Sibelius Academy in 2018. In 2017 he studied in Austria in the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien. He has attended several masterclasses organized by Tenso, the European Network for Professional Chamber Choirs, working with Cappel- la Amsterdam, the Helsinki Chamber Choir, the Slovenian Philharmonic Choir and others.
In addition to Euga Male Voice Choir He currently serves as a conductor of two award-winning groups in Finland, the Kaamos Chamber Choir and the Helsinki Academic Male Choir KYL.
In 2013 Visa Yrjölä was awarded the special price of a young and promising conductor and in summer 2018 he was awarded with the Best Conductor prize in the Bratislava Choir Festival. In March 2019 Radio Classic granted him the Tempo award of the conductors category.
